Manglik Dosh in First House
The first house of horoscope represents physical body, strength, vitality, immunity, overall health, lifespan, personality, independence, profession and many other things.
The first house is the most important house of a horoscope and the formation of a defect like Manglik Dosh in this house can cause serious problems. Once the formation of Manglik Dosh is confirmed, the next thing to check is its strength. The strength of Manglik Dosh is checked through the placement of Mars in various signs, nakshatras and navamshas. Apart from that, the influences of benefic and malefic planets on Mars; the overall theme of the horoscope and the running times may also affect the strength of Manglik Dosh. Let’s look into some of these factors.
The influences of benefic and malefic planets on Mars in a horoscope; as well as those of the overall theme of the horoscope and running times should also be checked properly, before predicting the results of Manglik Dosh. These are major factors and they can change the results; significantly or completely. Let’s take an example to understand this concept in a better manner.
Suppose malefic Mars forms Manglik Dosh in the first house of a horoscope in Sagittarius. Suppose benefic Jupiter is also placed in the first house. Jupiter rules the first house in this horoscope and it is stronger than Mars in this sign. As a result, the strength of such Manglik Dosh may significantly reduce. Accordingly, the native may witness relief in all spheres affected by such Manglik Dosh.
Suppose benefic Mercury is also placed in the first house of this horoscope in Sagittarius; along with Mars and Jupiter. The overall equation may become much more positive in this case. Hence the strength of Manglik Dosh may reduce a lot. Accordingly, the native may face significant problems in the spheres affected by such Manglik Dosh. However, he may not face serious or very serious problems.
Let’s look at the entire equation from the opposite angle and see what may happen when malefic Mars is joined by malefic planets. Suppose malefic Mars forms Manglik Dosh in the first house of a horoscope in Sagittarius and malefic Venus is also placed with it. The addition of malefic Venus may increase the number as well as quantum of problems. Such combination may prove much more troublesome for the marriage of a male native than that of a female native.
Suppose malefic Moon is also placed in the first house of this horoscope in Sagittarius along with Mars and Venus. The addition of malefic Moon may increase the overall negativity in the first house as well as in the entire horoscope. The first house is the most important house in a horoscope and placement of three malefic planets in this house may create very serious or destructive problems related to a number of spheres of native’s life. Since all these planets are malefic; they may afflict one another; apart from afflicting the first house.
Hence this malefic combination may trouble almost each and every sphere of native’s life. Among these spheres; the sphere of health, lifespan and marriage (for male native) may be hit with maximum strength.
Looking at the sphere of marriage; such malefic combination is capable of breaking one, two, three, four, five, six, seven or more marriages of the native; unless there are strong benefic planets which save his marriage. The sphere of marriage may be completely destroyed in case of male native. Depending on the rest of his horoscope; the native may not get married throughout his life, or he may keep getting married and divorced or widowed. Such malefic combination may easily kill one or two wives of the native; especially the first wife.
Coming back to the original malefic combination of Mars, Venus and Moon; it may cause serious health problems and it may significantly reduce the lifespan of the native. Hence the native may die young; unless there are strong benefic planets supporting his lifespan. Let’s take examples to understand both sides of this story.
Suppose a benefic combination of Sun and Mercury is placed in the second house of this horoscope in Capricorn, a benefic combination of Jupiter and Saturn is placed in the fourth house in Pisces, benefic Rahu is placed in the third house in Aquarius and malefic Ketu is placed in the ninth house in Leo. In this case; the horoscope provides support for lifespan of the native. Hence the native may live up to the age of 60 or more; provided Moon is placed in Uttarashada nakshatra in Sagittarius in the first house.
Uttarashada is ruled by Sun. Hence the native is born under Sun period with about 5 years of this period left. Sun period is followed by 10 year Moon period followed by 7 year Mars period followed by the periods of Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury respectively. It means the native may get through the periods of Moon and Mars till his age of 22 years. After this age, the planetary periods of Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury may rule him for the next 70 years, which means till his age of 92 years. Since all these planets are benefic in this horoscope; the native may live up to or beyond the age of 60 years.
On the other hand, if Moon is placed in the first quarter of Moola nakshatra in the first house in Sagittarius; the equation may change. Moon forms Gandmool Dosh in the first quarter of Moola. This defect may prove troublesome for native’s health and wellbeing as well as those of his mother and father. Hence the overall negativity may increase.
Apart from that, the native is born under Ketu period, with about 6 years left. Ketu period is followed by 20 year Venus period, followed by 6 year Sun period, followed by 10 year Moon period, followed by 7 year Mars period. It means that the period of Mars may end around native’s age of 49 years. Among Ketu, Venus, Sun, Moon and Mars; only Sun is benefic in this horoscope and all other planets are malefic. Hence the native may face serious problems in many spheres of his life; despite so many benefic planets working in his favour.
In this case, the planetary periods of Moon and Mars may rule this native between his age of 32 and 49 years; and the native may not survive them. Hence the native may die during one of these periods; likely during the Moon period; due to a terminal disease, in an accident or he may get killed; depending on the finer factors.
Billions of combinations are possible in a horoscope and a change in any factor may change the overall results. Therefore, each and every aspect in a horoscope should be checked properly; before concluding the formation of Manglik Dosh in a horoscope or before predicting the type and quantum of malefic results indicated by it.
Vedic astrology mentions various remedies to reduce malefic effects of Manglik Dosh. Since the type and quantum of problems indicated by Manglik Dosh as well as the type and strength of planets which may try to reduce the intensity of this defect may be different in different horoscopes; general remedies may not bring satisfactory results in most cases. Hence the remedial approach should be specially chosen for the native under consideration. Therefore, appropriate and comprehensive remedial measures should be implemented; only after thoroughly analysing the horoscope.
