Prelude
Vedic Astrology is undoubtedly the oldest and most comprehensive faith of astrology among all such faiths practiced across the globe, and whereas some of these faiths have the depth and volume of a stream, some of a river, Vedic Astrology is the Ocean which can provide resources to all these faiths and which can validate or invalidate any one of these faiths.
I have studied and researched many such faiths like Numerology, Vaastu etc. but none of them holds their ground without the support of Vedic Astrology and it is the faith which is the backbone or motherboard of all such faiths. This is what inspired me to make a carrier choice with the Ocean itself and now after years and years of this voyage; I can happily say that I made the right choice, many years back.
The fact that Vedic Astrology is the oldest among such faiths, also exposes it and makes it vulnerable to many types of corruptions and adulterations from time to time which may have come in the form of selfish additions to some of the purest Vedic Astrology scriptures or which may have resulted from misinterpretations of many important concepts of Vedic Astrology, from time to time. It is only due to such adulterations, corruptions and misinterpretations, that Vedic Astrology does not look as complete and accurate to many people interested in it, as it actually is, in this day and age.
With the Grace of Lord Shiva, I have spent years in researching various concepts of Vedic Astrology and in finding where and how much, such concepts may have been misinterpreted and what could be the possible correct interpretation of these divine concepts. Whereas in their misinterpreted forms, most such concepts of Vedic Astrology do not hold ground in real practice of astrology, almost all of them hold solid ground in their modified forms.
I have found out this fact after years of intensive research on these topics and after cross checking them with thousands of horoscopes so that they should hold ground when it comes to real life and real horoscopes instead of just reflecting on paper, and after all this effort, I can say that now they do hold ground in their modified forms.
Hence this book should be understood as an effort to create such awareness among the lovers of Vedic Astrology that this faith itself is still as complete as it was when it was born, but various misinterpretations from time to time, may have caused confusions related to many important concepts of this faith. Through this book, I have tried to create awareness about various aspects related to the concept of Kaal Sarp Yog in Vedic Astrology.
This book starts with an article about Kaal Sarp Yog, which discusses some of the prevailing beliefs related to this defect and which also deals with some interesting facts related to this defect.
The formation of Kaal Sarp Yog is associated with many types of serious problems in the life of the native, depending on the house of placement of Rahu as well as that of Ketu. For example, Kaal Sarp Yog formed when Rahu is placed in the first house and Ketu is placed in the seventh house may create serious problems related to health and marriage of the native. Similarly, Kaal Sarp Yog formed due to the presence of Rahu in fifth house and Ketu in eleventh house can cause serious problems in the profession of the native; and it can also trouble him with problems related to childbirth. Likewise, Kaal Sarp Yog formed due to the presence of Rahu and Ketu in other houses of a horoscope can afflict the native with serious problems in many spheres of his life.
Whereas there is no doubt that Kaal Sarp Yog of good strength formed in a horoscope can trouble the native with the already mentioned problems, as well as with many other types of problems, its formation is not as frequent, as it is said to be. To simplify it with the help of a practical example, let’s consider the formation of this defect in the horoscopes of the people born all across the world between 20th of July 1976 and 3rd of August 1976 which is a period of about 15 days approximately. If we make and analyze different horoscopes with different dates of birth, times of birth and places of birth where the dates of birth are between the above mentioned time ranges, we can easily see that Rahu was placed in Libra during this entire period and Ketu was placed in Aries during this entire period. All the other planets were placed between Aries and Libra during this period, which means that all the people born all across the world during this period of time are having one or the other type of Kaal Sarp Yog in their horoscopes.
For example, all the people born during the above mentioned period of time who have Libra as their ascendant rising, have Anant Kaal Sarp Yog because Rahu is placed in the first house of their horoscopes as it was transiting through Libra during that period and Ketu is placed in the seventh house of their horoscopes as it was transiting through Aries during that period. Hence Rahu is placed in the first house, Ketu is placed in the seventh house and all other planets are placed in the houses from seven to one which means houses like 8, 9, 10 etc. Anant Kaal Sarp Yog is said to be formed when in a horoscope, Rahu is placed in the first house, Ketu is placed in the seventh house and all the other planets are placed between the first and the seventh house or between the seventh and the first house.
The above example clearly shows that according to the prevalent definition of Kaal Sarp Yog, all the people born across the world during the above mentioned 15 days have Kaal Sarp Yog in their horoscopes. Going further, it can be easily found out that half the people born during the period which ranges from 20th of June 1976 to 20th of October 1976, have Kaal Sarp Yog in their horoscopes as Moon was the only planet which kept getting in and out of Rahu and Ketu axis whereas all the other planets were inside the axis of Rahu and Ketu for the above mentioned period of about 4 months. So whenever Moon transited from Aries to Libra during these four months which is about 15 days per month, all the people born during that period were born with Kaal Sarp Yog in their horoscopes. If we take into account those astrologers also, who state that the presence of Moon outside Rahu Ketu axis does not make much difference in the formation of Kaal Sarp Yog, all the people born in the world during these four months have Kaal Sarp Yog in their horoscopes.
As millions of people were born all across the globe during the above mentioned time period, it can be easily concluded that according to the prevalent definition of Kaal Sarp Yog, all those millions of people have Kaal Sarp Yog in their horoscopes; and accordingly each one of them should suffer from very serious types of problems associated with this defect. Looking even deeper, such combinations of above mentioned 4 months or even 6 months keep appearing from time to time; making more and more people of the world have Kaal Sarp Yog in their horoscopes. This statement doesn’t hold true in actual practice as millions of people with different horoscopes and different destinies were born during the above mentioned time periods. Some of them have become very rich and some of them very poor, some of them enjoy very good married lives while some have serious problems in their marriages. Similarly some of these people are blessed on some other front of their lives whereas some others are suffering a lot, on the same front.
Looking at these statistics, we can easily conclude that they don’t match the data from real life, which means that millions of people born during the same four months are suffering very much, only in theory and not in practical. Hence the formation of Kaal Sarp Yog in the horoscopes of all the people born during this period of four months can’t be true, which means it’s false. This further tells us that the prevalent definition of Kaal Sarp Yog is flawed and it is not a valid definition. It should also be noted that all the yogas and defects mentioned in astrology are rare and they are not the ones which keep forming for a continuous period of 15 days or 4 months. Something that keeps happening for 15 days is a routine and not a rare yoga. Hence Kaal Sarp Yog is not formed in the way its prevalent definition states.
With this, I now take your permission to lead you to the book.
