Exalted Ketu in Ninth House
Ketu is exalted in Scorpio as well as in Pisces. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Ketu. Exalted Ketu in the ninth house of a horoscope is benefic in some cases whereas it is malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and/or malefic planets on Ketu, and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Ketu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Ketu in a horoscope increase, Ketu may become more benefic or malefic. If such exalted Ketu is influenced by malefic planets, and/or an overall malefic horoscope, the native may witness various types of problems related to or through his father. For example, the native may not have a good equation with his father, his parents may get divorced and he may live with his mother, his father may suffer from a long-lasting illness, he may be an alcoholic and/or a drug addict, he may be a criminal, and/or he may die before native’s age of 20, depending on native’s overall horoscope and running times. Malefic exalted Rahu is placed in the third house in Taurus, malefic Saturn is placed in the tenth house in Sagittarius with malefic Venus, Mercury is placed in the eighth house in Libra, Jupiter is placed in the twelfth house in Aquarius with Moon, and benefic retrograde Mars is placed in the seventh house in Virgo.
In this case, the native may not have a good equation with his father. His mother may die between his age of 15 and 20. His father may get married again, and the native may spend most of his time away from home. He may stay in a hostel for further studies, far away from his home. He may only find temporary jobs till his age of 35/40, and he may remain jobless for periods of more than 3 months, many times in his life, though he may earn well at times. He may not get married till his age of 35/40, or throughout his life. He may not have a child till his age of 40/45, or throughout his life.
