Exalted Ketu in Seventh House
Ketu is exalted in Scorpio as well as in Pisces. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Ketu. Exalted Ketu in the seventh house of a horoscope is benefic in some cases whereas it is malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and/or malefic planets on Ketu, and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Ketu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Ketu in a horoscope increase, Ketu may become more benefic or malefic. On the other hand, malefic exalted Ketu in the seventh house of a horoscope can trouble the native with problems related to marriage, husband, wife, profession, finances, reputation, authority, recognition and several other problems, depending on his/her overall horoscope and running times.
If such exalted Ketu is influenced by malefic planets, and/or an overall malefic horoscope, the native may witness various types of problems related to or through his marriage. For example, he may witness delay/disturbances in marriage, and/or one or more failed marriages. He may have serious differences of opinion with his wife, she may suffer from a long-lasting illness, she may be an alcoholic and/or a drug addict, she may be a criminal, she may not be loyal to him, she may have extramarital affair/affairs, and/or she may die within 10 or 5 years of marriage. The native may also witness delays, financial losses, setbacks, failures, job loss, bad reputation and several other problems related to or through his profession.
Taking an example, suppose malefic exalted Ketu is placed in the seventh house of a horoscope in Scorpio with Saturn and malefic Mars. Exalted Rahu is placed in the first house in Taurus, Mercury is placed in the sixth house in Libra with debilitated Sun, Venus is placed in the eighth house in Sagittarius, malefic Jupiter is placed in the twelfth house in Aries, and benefic Moon is placed in the ninth house in Capricorn.
In this case, the native may not get married till his age of 40/45. If the finer factors and running times are very bad for marriage, he may not get married throughout his life. He may not find a permanent profession throughout his life, and he may only find temporary jobs. He may also remain jobless for periods of more than 6 months, many times in his life.
