Debilitated Sun in Sixth House
When debilitated Sun is placed in the sixth house in a horoscope, Taurus rises in the ascendant. Debilitated Sun is benefic in the sixth house in many cases though it may turn malefic in some cases. This may happen when Sun is afflicted by malefic planets, such as through conjunction and/or aspects. As the number of malefic planets and the strengths of such planets increase, Sun may become more malefic.
Since Sun is weak due to debilitation, it may become easy for malefic planets to add negativity to Sun. If debilitated Sun is afflicted by one or more than one malefic planet in the sixth house, it may turn significantly or highly malefic. Apart from that, the overall theme of horoscope having such debilitated Sun can also turn it malefic in some cases, when such theme is malefic. Let’s look at some results which may be given by debilitated Sun in the sixth house when it is benefic. Such debilitated Sun can bless the native with good results related to profession, finances, reputation, recognition, authority, health, properties, education and several other good results, depending on his overall horoscope.
Such benefic debilitated Sun can bless the native with a post of authority in government or in a private organization. The native may become a government officer like police offer, revenue officer, administrative officer or army officer; or he may achieve such authority through politics. Taking an example, suppose benefic debilitated Sun is placed in the sixth house of a horoscope in Libra with Mercury. Mars is placed in the eighth house in Sagittarius with Rahu, Ketu is placed in the second house in Gemini and benefic Saturn is placed in the seventh house in Scorpio. In this case, the native may join the army. He may get selected for a high rank in the army and he may come across good amount of success, recognition and authority as an army officer.
If Venus is placed in the seventh house in Scorpio with Saturn, Jupiter is placed in the eleventh house in Pisces and benefic Moon is placed in the fourth house in Leo, the equation may become better. In this case, the native may achieve success in competitive exams and he may get selected for the highest possible direct rank in the army. The native may accomplish a lot during his career and he may enjoy very good amount of success, recognition, respect and authority. He may lead several important army operations, some of which may be covert; and he may achieve success in most of them. He may also receive formal awards for bravery in the battlefield. If the finer factors and running times are supportive, the native may serve as the chief of army of his country, before retirement. He may reflect a well-balanced combination of bravery, courage, patience, planning and diplomacy. Due to these qualities, he may accomplish a lot during his career and he may earn a lot of respect.
Such benefic debilitated Sun can also make the native interested in fields like medical field, science, engineering, astrology, numerology, tantra and other likewise fields. If the overall horoscope is supportive, the native may achieve success in one such field.

On the other hand, malefic debilitated Sun in the sixth house can trouble the native with problems related to father, mother, education, wealth, properties, vehicles, profession, finances, reputation and several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope.
This placement may prove bad or very bad for the well-being of native’s parents as well as for native’s relationships with them. Sun is the general signifier of father and it becomes the specific signifier of mother in this case, since it rules the fourth house. It is weak due to debilitation, and it is placed in the sixth house which is a difficult house. Hence any affliction to such troubled and weak Sun may cause serious problems related to native’s parents.
Taking an example, suppose debilitated Sun is placed in the sixth house of a horoscope in Libra with malefic Mars. Malefic debilitated Jupiter is placed in the ninth house in Capricorn, Venus is placed in the seventh house in Scorpio along with benefic Mercury, malefic Rahu is placed in the eighth house in Sagittarius and Ketu is placed in the second house in Gemini. In this case, the native may witness serious problems related to his father, especially those related to his health and lifespan. The native may lose his father before native’s age of 30 or even that of 20, on account of a serious health problem.
If benefic Moon is placed in the third house in Cancer and Saturn is placed in the eighth house in Sagittarius with Rahu, the equation may become more troublesome. In this case, the native may lose his father to death, before his age of 10 years or 5 years, depending on the finer factors and running times. Native’s father may die because of a fatal disease or in an accident.
Such debilitated Sun can also trouble the native with problems related to profession and finances. Taking an example, suppose debilitated Sun is placed in the sixth house of a horoscope in Libra with malefic Ketu. Malefic Rahu is placed in the twelfth house in Aries, debilitated Venus is placed in the fifth house in Virgo, Saturn is placed in the eleventh house in Pisces and a combination of Mercury and malefic Jupiter is placed in the seventh house in Scorpio. In this case, the native may engage in a business of his own and he may suffer losses through it. He may avail financial loans and he may incur professional debts, but he may be not able to pay them back.
If malefic Mars is placed in the eighth house in Sagittarius and Moon is placed in the third house in Cancer, the equation may become worse. In this case, the native may suffer losses through profession, and he may witness financial tightness as well as debts. He may not be able to pay them back in time and he may face bad reputation and court cases, among other problems.
Apart from these, malefic debilitated Sun in the sixth house can trouble the native with several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope.
