Debilitated Sun in Eighth House
When debilitated Sun is placed in the eighth house in a horoscope, Pisces rises in the ascendant. Debilitated Sun is malefic in the eighth house in many cases though it may turn benefic in some cases. This may happen when Sun is influenced by benefic planets, such as through conjunction and/or aspects. As the number of benefic planets and the strengths of such planets increase, Sun may become more benefic.
Since Sun is weak due to debilitation, it may become easy for benefic planets to add positivity to Sun. If debilitated Sun is influenced by one or more than one benefic planet in the eighth house, it may turn significantly or highly benefic. Apart from that, the overall theme of horoscope having such debilitated Sun can also turn it benefic in some cases, when such theme is benefic. Let’s look at some results which may be given by debilitated Sun in the eighth house when it is benefic. Such benefic debilitated Sun can bless the native with good results related to profession, finances, fame, reputation, authority, spiritual growth, wealth and several other good results, depending on his overall horoscope.
In horoscopes with Pisces ascendant, debilitated Sun rules the sixth house and it is placed in the eighth house. Since both these houses are difficult to handle and Sun is weak due to debilitation, it is a difficult placement and it may not provide good results in majority of cases. It should be noted that in horoscopes with Pisces ascendant, both Venus and Saturn are functionally malefic. It means that Sun can’t be rescued through Neechbhang Rajyoga in this case, since only Saturn or Venus can do that, only when they are benefic. Hence the only way such Sun may produce good results is through Vipreet Rajyoga which may be formed when the overall horoscope is strong and benefic. Taking an example, suppose debilitated Sun is placed in the eighth house of a horoscope in Libra with benefic Mercury. Venus is placed in the tenth house in Sagittarius with benefic Moon, benefic exalted Jupiter is placed in the fifth house in Cancer and benefic Mars is placed in the first house in Pisces. In this case, the overall horoscope becomes strong as well as benefic. Hence Sun may form Vipreet Rajyoga in the eighth house and the native may witness various types of benefits due to it. The native may benefit through his father, wife and children.
His father may support him a lot throughout his life and the native may achieve professional success through a creative field. He may get married to a beautiful woman who may also be engaged in a creative field, she may be rich, friendly and liberal. Hence the couple may enjoy a good marriage and they may have more than one child. If benefic Rahu is placed in the fifth house in Cancer with Jupiter, Ketu is placed in the eleventh house in Capricorn and Saturn is placed in the fourth house in Gemini, the equation may become better.
In this case, native’s children may also engage in creative fields and they come across very good amount of success, money, fame and recognition. The native may have very good relationships with his children and he may benefit a lot through them. If the finer factors and running times are supportive, the native as well as his wife may earn billions and their first child may earn even more than them. Their first child may also come across a lot more fame and popularity than the native and his wife.
Apart from these, benefic debilitated Sun in the eighth house of horoscope can bless the native with several other good results, depending on his overall horoscope.
On the other hand, malefic debilitated Sun in the eighth house of horoscope can trouble the native with problems related to health, lifespan, profession, finances, reputation, father, spiritual growth, diseases, accidents, unfortunate incidents and several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope.
In about 50% of the horoscopes, Sun is placed with Venus or Mercury, or both. In horoscopes with Pisces ascendant, Sun as well as Venus are malefic in most cases. Mercury rules the seventh house which deals with marriage, husband and wife, among other things. Hence the placement of malefic debilitated Sun in the eighth house can prove troublesome for the sphere of marriage since the combination of Sun with either one of Venus and Mercury may create problems related to marriage. As a result, the native may witness delay in marriage, disturbances in marriage, and/or one or more failed marriages, depending on his overall horoscope.
Taking an example, suppose malefic debilitated Sun is placed in the eighth house of a horoscope in Libra with Mercury. Malefic Venus is placed in the sixth house in Leo with malefic Rahu, and Ketu is placed in the twelfth house in Aquarius. In this case, the native may get married in time, but he may witness serious problems in his marriage. His first marriage may fail and he may get married again. However, the second marriage may also fail on account of serious problems and the native may settle in his third marriage. One marriage of the native may fail due to an extramarital affair of the native or his wife whereas the other one may fail due to serious issues of compatibility between native’s wife and the native and/or his parents.
Looking at some grace saving factors, if a benefic combination of Jupiter and Moon forms Gaj Kesari Yoga in the seventh house in Virgo and benefic exalted Mars is placed in the eleventh house in Capricorn, the equation may become better. In this case, the native may be able to save his second marriage or even his first marriage, despite serious problems and initial setbacks; provided the running times are supportive.
Looking at a different variation, suppose the recent placements of Jupiter, Moon and Mars are annulled. Suppose Jupiter is placed in the sixth house in Leo with Venus and Rahu, and a combination of Mars and malefic Saturn is placed in the tenth house in Sagittarius. In this case, the native may witness three or more broken marriages and he may settle in his fourth or fifth marriage.
Apart from these, malefic debilitated Sun in the eighth house of horoscope can trouble the native with several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope.
Himanshu Shangari
