Debilitated Mercury in Tenth House
When debilitated Mercury is placed in the tenth house in a horoscope, Gemini rises in the ascendant. Debilitated Mercury is benefic in the tenth house in most cases though it may turn malefic in some cases. This may happen when Mercury is afflicted by malefic planets, such as through conjunction and/or aspects. As the number of malefic planets and the strengths of such planets increase, Mercury may become more malefic.
Since Mercury is weak due to debilitation, it may become easy for malefic planets to add negativity to Mercury. If debilitated Mercury is afflicted by one or more than one malefic planet in the tenth house, it may turn significantly or highly malefic. Apart from that, the overall theme of horoscope having such debilitated Mercury can also turn it malefic in some cases, when such theme is malefic. Let’s look at some results which may be given by debilitated Mercury in the tenth house when it is benefic. Taking an example, suppose benefic debilitated Mercury is placed in the tenth house of a horoscope in Pisces with benefic Jupiter. Benefic Jupiter may cancel the debilitation status of Mercury and Neechbhang Rajyoga may be formed in the tenth house. Jupiter may also form Hamsa Yoga in the tenth house. Suppose benefic Sun is placed in the ninth house in Aquarius, Saturn is placed in the third house in Leo, Mars is placed in the seventh house in Sagittarius with Ketu, and benefic Rahu is placed in the first house in Gemini. In this case, the native may engage in the field of IT. He may start his own business which may deal in IT solutions, after the age of 25 or 30, and he may come across good amount of success, money and recognition through it.
If Venus is placed in the eleventh house in Aries and benefic Moon is placed in the third house in Leo with Saturn, the equation may become better. In this case, the native may come across very good amount of success, money and recognition through the field of IT. The native may witness good results after the age of 35, better results after 40 and best results after 50. If the finer factors and running times are supportive, the native may earn billions through this profession, by the age of 55. He may have a business empire worth in billions and his operations may spread to several countries of the world. In horoscopes with Gemini ascendant, Mercury rules the first house and it is weak due to debilitation. This may have bad impact on native’s health and lifespan. Since Mercury is placed in the tenth house which deals with profession, the native may also face problems related to profession.
Taking an example, suppose debilitated Mercury is placed in the tenth house of a horoscope in Pisces with malefic Mars and exalted Venus. In general, Mars is duly malefic in horoscopes with Gemini ascendant and Venus is partly malefic. These two planets may transfer negative energy to weak Mercury. Hence Mercury may get afflicted and it may turn significantly malefic. Suppose malefic Rahu is placed in the seventh house in Sagittarius with Saturn, Ketu is placed in the first house in Gemini and debilitated Moon is placed in the sixth house in Scorpio. In this case, the native may face serious problems related to his profession as well as health and he may witness significant reduction in his lifespan. The native may develop some type of cancer like prostrate cancer, stomach cancer or rectal cancer and he may die before the age of 60, 50 or 40, depending on his overall horoscope and running times.
Apart from these, malefic debilitated Mercury in the tenth house of horoscope can trouble the native with several other problems, depending on his overall horoscope and running times.
