Taking another example, suppose Moon is placed in the first house of a horoscope in Cancer, Jupiter is placed in the eighth house in Aquarius, Mercury is placed in the seventh house in Capricorn and Venus is placed in the sixth house in Sagittarius. Mercury is malefic in the horoscope. Jupiter is partly benefic and partly malefic for horoscopes with Cancer ascendant. Hence Adhi Yoga may not be formed in this case. The concept of a planet being partly benefic and partly malefic has been explained in the book ‘Pitra Dosh – Ancestors are Calling (Revised Edition)’.
Taking an example, suppose Moon is placed in the twelfth house of a horoscope in Leo, in Scorpio navamsha of Poorvaphalguni nakshatra; and debilitated Jupiter is placed in the fifth house in Capricorn, in Capricorn navamsha of Uttarashada nakshatra. Suppose Venus is placed in the sixth house in Aquarius, in Sagittarius navamsha of Shatabhisha nakshatra; and Mercury is placed in the sixth house in Aquarius, in Pisces navamsha of Shatabhisha nakshatra. Most of these planets are weak in their respective signs and/or navamshas. Hence weak Adhi Yoga may be formed.
Taking another example, suppose Moon is placed in the eleventh house of a horoscope in Cancer, in Cancer navamsha of Punarvasu nakshatra; and Jupiter is placed in the fourth house in Sagittarius, in Sagittarius navamsha of Uttarashada nakshatra. Suppose Venus is placed in the fifth house in Capricorn, in Pisces navamsha of Uttarashada nakshatra; and Mercury is placed in the fifth house in Capricorn, in Virgo navamsha of Dhanishtha nakshatra. All these planets are strong in their respective signs and navamshas. Hence strong Adhi Yoga may be formed.
Let’s look at influences of other planets as well as the overall theme of horoscope on this yoga. Suppose in the same horoscope; malefic Sun is placed in the fourth house in Sagittarius with Jupiter, malefic Ketu is placed in the fifth house in Capricorn with Mercury and Venus; and malefic Rahu as well as Saturn (partly benefic and partly malefic) is placed in the eleventh house in Cancer with Moon.
In this case, all planets involved in the formation of Adhi Yoga are afflicted. Hence the strength of this yoga may be reduced a lot and the native may not benefit much from it. Suppose malefic Mars is placed in the first house of this horoscope in Virgo. Mars may afflict the first house which may shift the balance of this horoscope towards negativity. Hence the native may witness a number of problems despite the formation of Adhi Yoga in his horoscope.
Let’s see what may happen when benefic planets influence Adhi Yoga. Suppose Moon in the eleventh house in Cancer, Jupiter in the fourth house in Sagittarius and a combination of Venus and Mercury in the fifth house in Capricorn form Adhi Yoga in a horoscope. Suppose benefic Rahu is placed in the second house in Libra and benefic Ketu is placed in the eighth house in Aries. In this case, the horoscope may gain even more strength as well as positivity. Hence the native may benefit more.
Suppose Sun is placed in the sixth house in Aquarius, Mars is placed in the third house in Scorpio and Saturn is placed in the tenth house in Gemini. Since the overall horoscope is strong and benefic, Sun may form Vimala Yoga in the sixth house. Saturn is partly benefic and partly malefic. However, strong influence of Jupiter from the fourth house and that of the overall horoscope may turn it much more benefic than malefic.
Mars is supposed to be highly malefic in the horoscope. However due to strong and benefic overall horoscope; it may produce benefic results along with malefic results. Hence the native may witness benefits in many spheres of his life and the spheres of profession, marriage, children and health may benefit a lot. Such native may achieve a post of high authority in government or he may earn large amounts of money through business; depending on the finer factors and running times.
After this, the field of impact of this Yoga is checked. It is checked through the placements of planets involved in its formation in various houses of horoscope. In the recent example; Moon, Jupiter, Mercury and Venus are placed in the eleventh, fourth and fifth house. Hence the primary and secondary benefits of such Adhi Yoga may reflect through the spheres of health, lifespan, personality, mother, father, children, love life, marriage, wife, husband, profession, finances, wealth, family, reputation, authority, fame, higher education, spiritual growth and a number of other spheres.
