Retrograde Mars in First House in Scorpio
When retrograde Mars is placed in the first house of a horoscope in Scorpio, Scorpio rises in the ascendant. Mars rules the first and sixth house. In general, it is partly benefic and partly malefic here, though the benefic part is higher, in most cases.
