Retrograde Mercury in First House in Libra
When retrograde Mercury is placed in the first house of a horoscope in Libra, Libra rises in the ascendant. Mercury rules the ninth and twelfth house. In general, it is partly benefic and partly malefic here, though the benefic part is higher, in most cases. Mercury rules the ninth and twelfth house, and it is placed in the first house. He may only find temporary jobs, and he may remain jobless for periods of more than 3 months, many times in his life, though he may earn well at times. He may witness financial losses and bad reputation through his profession. He may witness 1 or 2 failed marriages, and he may settle in his second or third marriage. He may die before his age of 60 or 55, due to a heart attack, or some type of cancer.
