Exalted Ketu in Eleventh House
Ketu is exalted in Scorpio as well as in Pisces. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll consider both these placements of Ketu. Exalted Ketu in the eleventh house of a horoscope is benefic in some cases whereas it is malefic in some cases. The influences of other benefic and/or malefic planets on Ketu, and the overall theme of horoscope are important criteria when it comes to decide the functional nature of Ketu in a horoscope.
As the number and strengths of benefic and/or malefic planets influencing Ketu in a horoscope increase, Ketu may become more benefic or malefic. If benefic Venus is placed in the first house in Capricorn, the equation may become better. If benefic Sun is placed in the tenth house in Aquarius with Mercury, the equation may become better. Sun and Mercury form Budhaditya Yoga in the tenth house. On the other hand, malefic exalted Ketu in the eleventh house of a horoscope can trouble the native with problems related to friends, profession, finances, reputation, authority, recognition and several other problems, depending on his/her overall horoscope and running times.
If such exalted Ketu is influenced by malefic planets, and/or an overall malefic horoscope, the native may witness various types of problems related to or through his friends. For example, some of his friends may be selfish, opportunists, criminal-minded, criminals, drug addicts, traitors and/or they may have some other negative traits. The native may witness several problems because of such friends, many times in his life. The native may witness delays, financial losses, setbacks, failures, job loss, bad reputation and several other problems related to or through his profession. He may also become a criminal.
Taking an example, suppose malefic exalted Ketu is placed in the eleventh house of a horoscope in Scorpio with Saturn and malefic Sun. Malefic exalted Rahu is placed in the fifth house in Taurus with malefic retrograde Jupiter. Grahan Yoga is formed in the eleventh house, and Guru Chandal Yoga is formed in the fifth house. Mercury is placed in the twelfth house in Sagittarius with Venus, Moon is placed in the eighth house in Leo, and Mars is placed in the sixth house in Gemini.
In this case, native’s father may be abusive, he may beat the native, and he may die before native’s age of 15 or 10. The native may be mentally disturbed, and he may become a serial killer. He may rob and kill old people. He may engage in several robberies as well as murders. He may get killed in an encounter with police, between his age of 35 and 45. Depending on the finer factors and running times, he may also kill himself, between his age of 35 and 45. In such case, he may shoot himself.
